The Monroe County Link Plan 2.0 All Pillar Team and Stakeholder
meeting was held on June 23rd at Monroe County Community College. 46 community stakeholders representing local government officials, businesses, community agencies, non-profits, educators, and volunteers were in attendance. There were thirteen new stakeholders in attendance. The Community College graciously hosted the meeting.
The meeting was facilitated by OHM, the consulting team who led the development of Link Plan 1.0 and is now collaborating with local stakeholders to develop Link Plan 2.0. The Link Plan is the County’s economic development strategy.
The agenda included:
1) Project Overview
2) Review of Link Plan 1.0 accomplishments
3) Review of existing market conditions.
The four Pillar Teams participated separately in breakout sessions to work on mission, vision and to identify their respective Team strengths, challenges, and obstacles for Link Plan 2.0.
The meeting included some fun! Several stakeholders played a game of Monroe County Feud that tested their knowledge of the county’s history. It was a great way to break the ice and get everyone relaxed.
The Teams will meet virtually in August to debrief the June 23rd meeting. In the interim, OHM will continue to develop Link Plan 2.0.
