The Monroe County Business Alliance was presented with a check at the April Koffee Klub event, Michael Bosanac, County of Monroe Administrator/Chief Financial Officer, presented the check for $250,000 on behalf of the Monroe County Board of Commissioners. The payment to the Monroe County Business Alliance will support efforts underway to create an updated economic development strategic plan for Monroe County.
The MCBA will be providing administrative leadership and coordination for the creation of a new strategic plan with action steps that will guide efforts to help support new investments and expansion of existing businesses in Monroe County.
The new economic strategic plan is called Monroe County Link 2.0. This plan will maximize the potential and opportunities of market sectors of the local economy. OHM Advisors has been hired to provide professional expertise and consulting services along with additional professional services with specialization in real estate market research and analysis. OHM Advisors is familiar with the County of Monroe since their assistance was used in the creation of the original Monroe County Link Plan. Aaron Domini, Principal in Charge at OHM Advisors, stated, “OHM has been a trusted advisor to the Monroe County Business Alliance for the last several years.”
The new Link 2.0 will also benefit from the services of Mannik and Smith Group who will assist OHM Advisors by leveraging their experience and knowledge in local current land use and infrastructure plans.
The Monroe County Business Alliance has contracted with Florence Buchanan, owner of Customer Experience360, to assist with administrative support as she did for the original Monroe County Link.
