ALLIANCE NEWS

IMPORTANT INVESTOR INFORMATION

As your MCBA Team works to strengthen the value of your investment into the organization, we want to share with you our upcoming strategy to build more traffic to the Membership Directory to enhance your Investor/business experience.

Over the next several weeks we will be running a social media campaign to drive traffic to the MCBA website, specifically to the Membership Directory page. Our goal is to provide the buying consumer and business community a trusted resource as they look to source both goods and services for their personal and business use. Think "Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval" resource. We will position this page as the "go to" resource for buying local.

With that in mind, we encourage to visit your Info Hub business.monroecountychamber.com/MIC/Login and review your content to be sure that it is up to date and appears the way that you prefer so others can successfully connect with you. Explore the site and have fun taking advantage of special investors-only access. Watch this video tour to get the most from your Hub with things such as:

  • Directory listings - your contact information as well as other investors is available in the "members only" hub.
  • Personalizing your listing page - included in the directory is your own information page on the website which can include a description area, location, logo, photos and contact details based on your membership level.
  • Investor payments - use the Hub to manage your membership and payments.
  • Resources- being part of our association includes access to key sites, documents and other information to help you thrive in our community. Check out the resource area to learn more.
  • Career Center– create a posting for any job openings you have available - gain visibility and help recruit new employees.
  • Hot Deals – add an online coupon to share on our site and attract users to your business. Take advantage of deals offered by other members too!
  • News - Share exciting and important information with our community. Enter your news item to be added to our site.

MCBA moved to a new CRM system in January, many notifications have been sent due its high importance. If you have not set up your new account, please do so at your earliest convenience. If you need assistance contact Diana at dlingle@mcbusinessalliance.org.

Help us, help you, by following the steps above. We appreciate you, your business and all it does for our community.

Grant to help alleviate Monroe railroad crossing frustrations

Commuter frustrations with railroad crossings in the city of Monroe will soon get some relief.

The U.S. Department of Transportation awarded a $23,964,400 grant to Monroe to aid in the design and construction of a new overpass for the CSX railroad on West Elm Avenue just east of North Telegraph Road.

The construction will lift the train crossing over traffic in order to prevent delays, improve response times for emergency vehicles, and increase safety for pedestrians and motorists.

"We are grateful for this direct federal investment award in local community infrastructure for a much-needed railroad grade separation on a primary artery through our city," Mayor Robert E. Clark said. "This project funding will significantly improve traffic flow and safety response times for emergency vehicles within the city."
